Deseret Peak, located in Utah's Stansbury Mountains, gets its name from the early Mormon settlements and the term "Deseret," which means "honeybee" in the language of the Jaredites. The name "Deseret" was chosen by Mormon pioneers who settled in the Utah region as a symbol of industry, community, and diligence, similar to bees working together for a common purpose.
